The late -Mr Usher, who was in his 92nd year, arrived in Nelson by the Queen of the A yon in July 1859, and has ever since resided here. About two years ago he Lad a serious fall, but he made a wonderful recovery for one of his age. For over 30 years the late Mr Usher conducted Sunday, services at Old Peoples' Home,' a labour of love which had to be relinquished owing to advancing age.
