The American visible supply is 127,588,000 quarters. EMPIRE TRANSPORT COMPANY. (Rec. Jan. 8, 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 7. The Empire Transport Company is issuing a half-million 5g per centum de- j hentures underwritten repayable at par iii 15 annual drawings, commencing in 1915. The proceeds of the issue will be devoted to the extinction of £268,000 worth of existing debentures, and for payment of new tonnage. \ AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES. (Rec. 10.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. -During the first half of the current wool season, sale's in the Commonwealth totalled 1,180,869 bales, compared with 1,091,721 tales lor the same period in 1912. MT. MORGAN MINE. . (Rec. 10.15 a.m.) BRISBANE, this Day. The' half-yearly report of : the Mount Morgan mine shows -a surplus of £172,845, whereto is added the undivided profits of £46,591. Dividends of a shilling a share paid in October and on 2nd inst. absorbed £IOO,OOO. The balance of £66,846, after meeting all charges, is carried, forward. During the half year 148.924 tons of ore were treated and vielded 4354 tons copper and 54,992 ounces of gold. Developments during the ■veair will make possible in th£ near future the concentrator to treat £OO tons more ore daily. Every effort is being inade" to complete, the nev> power plant .to bave it available to operate the old smelter until the new- one is running. In addition 3,245,000 tons of high medium grade ores there are at least another 3,000,000 tons of lower grade suitable for concentration. ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET. . CHItfSTCHURCH, Jan. 7. (Special to "Mail.") Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd.. report:— The second sale of the season was held to-day. Our catalogue comprised 32C0 bales. The wool was in good order, but was somewhat lighter in condition than in December. In many instances a good deal of seed was showing. There was a full muster of buyers, and competition was vei'v keen, prices being from par to a farthing better than the December sale for coarse, medium, and fine crossbred. Half-breds showed no change, and seedy wool no improvement. Lambs' wool was eagerly sought after at high prices. We sold 16 bales Tiniaumea at ll jd j 29 bales WMcL, 6 bales Rawhitaroa, and several others at ll£d, Turanganui 10£ d. The wet season was largely responsible for the reduced offering, "but it is expected that- large catalogues will be available in February. A few growers are shipping to London, but the bulk are content to meet the market here.
