Burton, Minister of Railways, declares that only seventy casuals have been dismissed out of a .staff of 35,000. It is stated that the pennanents have been retrenched. The executive has advised the men to cease, work on Thursday morning. AN ANGLO-GERMAN MARRIAGE. (Received Jan. 7, 2.50 p.m.) BERLIN, Jan. 6. Lord Redesdale's son John and Fraulein Friedlanderfield, only child of Berlin's "Coal King"' (whose fortune is f55.O0O.O0O). were married to-day. The function was a most fashionable one.
