WELSHMAN CRITICISES NEW ' ZEALAND TEAM. (Press Association. —Copyright.) SYDNEY, Jan. 16. The "Yorkshire Post" of November 12th contains a report of a meeting of the general committee ot the Northern •Rugby Union, which decided to suggest- agreements betwetn the New-South Wales and New Zealand Leagues- -regarding the transference of players and terms of payment. The San Francisco correspondent of th>j "Telegraph" states that the • New Zealand Rugby Union team which has just returned, from a tour of the Pacific Coast, was subjected to rather -severe criticisms by Dai Thomas, a Welsh Intemationaty in. ti jwekly (publication printed .at Victoria, British Columbia. ■He did not think the team so strong as that of 1905. It did not possess *"' the physique of Gallaghor's team, and did not greatly impress anyone with its display. He referred to obstruction tactics and accidentally colliding, although he does not suggest that the tricks were unfair.
