STATEMENTS BT SUMNER
A THIRD MAN IMPLICATED. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Rec. Dec. 23. 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 22. Sumner asserts that a "tall cnap w.'th a brown moustache threatened him with a marlinspike and revolver. The man then struck Miss Bradfield with the marlin pike several times, and snatched her Mitchell and watch. The later U-\\, and as h e ran Sumner picked :i up. As things looked black, he and Eltoit (who is also under arrest) tied up tho body and carried it to the canal. Thc-y returned, locked up the office, and thence went to their homes. (Rcc Dec. 23. 920 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 22. Sumnor was remanded. He implicated a third man. Sumnor was unable to show the police his insurance card as evidence of recent employment. He said he was glad the affair was oyer. He slept soundlv in the pr-.son on Saturday night, and when he awoke his main concern was as to the result of a football match.
