Mackenzie, High Commissioner for New Zealand, presided., Captain Collins, the Agents-General, and forty representatives of dairying interests were present. The proceedings '.were kept secret; but it is understood, that the conference negatived a proposal for margarine being sold at separate compartments or counters. , It was resolved to form a deputation to the Imperial Government to secure legislation to prevent artificial colouring.
