JTOTICE is herebv given that appliLM cation is intended to be made to Uhe General Assembly of New Zealand in | the ensuing session oi Parliament by the Right Rev. Thomas Henry Sprott, D.D., Bishop cf Wellington; the Rev. Canon George Mac Murray, of the City of Auckland; Henry Douglass Andrews, of the City of Christchurch, Barrister; and Thomas Frederic Martin, of the City of Wellington, Barrister (hereinafter called "the Promoters"), for leave to bring in a Private Bill, the short title of which is I as -above, to effect the following objects, viz. : , A. To provide that all trusts under the Bishop of New Zealand Trusts Acts of 1858 and 1863 shall ■be held by thentrustees on behalf of the General Syncd of the Church of England. B. To give all such (trustees power, subject to the authority of the General J Synod, to sell and exchange their Trust l Property/ and to apply the proceeds to the .purchase of other property to tTe held under the same trusts, or to the improvement of property so held, and to mortgage such property for effecting improvements thereto or to other property held on the same trusts. Also to give power to grant leases for 21 years, and building leases for 60 years. C. To give similar powers to Diocesan Trustees, subject (as to sales, exchanges, and mortgages) to th-e authority of their respective Synods. D. To continue the said Acts of 1858 and 1868 and the Bishops in New Zealand Trusts Act. 1871, between the commencement of the Statutes Repeal Act, 1907, and of the proposed Act. E. To bring all the said Trustees under the Public Bodies' Leases.Act, 1908. P. To empower the said Synods respectively to appoint and remove trustees. G. To repeal the Church of England Lands Buildings Leases Act, 1872. H. To give to the New Zealand Mission Trust Board in relation to all lands conveyed to uy vested in it the abovementioned powers of sale, exchange, mortgaging, and leasing. I. The Act not to apply to the Diocese of Christchurch.
