CORRESPONDENCE
To the Editor.
Sir, —I should like to thank the secretary of the Diocesan Festival for such a full explanation regarding the tables from the up-country districts. If the tone of my letter appeared critical or complaining, I am sorry, for I had not the least intention of reflecting upon the arrangements made by tho Ladies' Committee. My letter was the outcome of an earnest "desire to give honour to whom honour was due; for none but those who work in the up-country districts can appreciate fully the splendid effort they made; and I felt that it was a little unjust that Belgiove and Tapawera should be receiving the credit for what Gordon Downs and Tadmor had done. May I also take this opportunity tu thank those ladies who so gladly gave up their tables in order that the country districts might be represented. I am, etc., G. H. CURLE. Foxhill, May 26th.
