W. T. WABD, Chief Postmaster. EASTER HOLIDAYS. POSTAL BRANCH. Good Friday, 21st inst., will be observed as a close Post Office holiday. All mails usually dospatrhed on Friday will be closed at 7 p.m. on the Thursday preceding. Receiving boxes throughout the city and the Pwt district will be cleared at 5 p.m. en Thursday, but pot on Friday; but an over-counter delivery of letters will be made at the Chief Post Office on Thursday between 7 and 8 p.mSatnrday, 22nd inst., two deliveries will be made by letter-carriers. In addition to the usual clearances all receiving boxes in the city and the Port district will be cleared at 5 p.m. All classes of correspondence will be delivered over the counter at the Chief Post Office between 7.30 and 8.30 p.m. Easter Monday, 23rd' inst, mails usually despatched on Mondays after 8 a.m. will be closed at that hour. The receiving boxes throughout the city and the Port district will be cleared, only once, at 5 a.m. The Chief Post Office will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. in all branches except the M.O. and S.B. There will be no delivery by letter-caT-riers, but correspondence usually delivered by them may be obtained over the counter between 9 and 10 a.m. Mail coaches will run as usual on Good Friday and Easter Monday. The Telegraph Office will be open as follows: Good Friday: Upstairs t only, Halifax-street entrance. 9.30 to 10 a.m. and 5 to 5.30 p.m. Easter Monday: At nsual public counter 9 to 10 a.m. Upstairs, Halifax-street entrance, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight. All offices are open 9 to 10 a.m. Larger offices as per Post Office Guide. The Exchange will be" open on Good Friday 9 to 10 a.m. and. 5 to 5 p.m. only, but on Easter Monday from 8 a.m. to midnight as usual.
