CANADIAN NAVAL DEBATE. AUSTRALIAN POLICY QUOTED. (PkK3B Association.—Copxrioht.) OTTAWA. Feb. 19. The Australian navy- policy again figured largely in the debates on the navy question. Mr. Turriff pointed out that Australians did,not regard* complete Commonwealth control of the navy as likely to involve separate tendencies. Canada ought, therefore, to adopt a similar attitude. CHANNEL TUNNEL SCHEME REVIVED. LONDON, Feb. 19. Sir A. Conan Doyle, writing in the "Fortnightly Review," advocates the building of a Channel tunnel as essential to Britain's safety. Troops would avoid the dangers of transport by sea, and the tunnel would enable Britain to secure food supplies in war time from the Mediterranean. I
