Catholics at' Glossop, headed by Canon Hai-kins, threaten to refuse to pay rates unless the book "Westward, Ho!" is withdrawn from tii<? schools. The very Rev. Monsignor Robert 'Benson is supporting them. ENGLISH APPEAL COURT. (Received Feb. 25, 1.25 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 19. In the Appeal Court, the case Gordon versus the Colonial Sugar Refining Co., a petition to rescind an order granting special leave, was postponed for a week, in order to ascertain definitely whether the Royal Commission oil Sugar had delivered a final report.
