HURRICANE AT TONGA
A DRAMATIC incident. (Pitass Association. —Cof**nQft 1.. SUVA, Feb. 18 Later reports of the hurricane' at Tonga indicate that it was of a local character, and confined mainly to Nukualofa. The cocoanut palms have been ruined for two years. A dramatio incident t"ok placo at 3 o'clock in tlie morning on the 10th inst In the height of the gale the American lumber schooner Boreali6, which was anchored in the harbour, was blown on to the wharf. The captain and crew jumped ashore. The schooner then drifted on to a reef, and burst into flames, exhibiting a panaroma of destruction for many' miles.
