The Diaz factions here have united with the Orozco revolutionists in the northern States to persecute the revolt against President Madero. The British and other Ambassadors called at the National Palace "at noon and' conferred with President Madero, with a view of securing an armistice. The diplomatic corps also sent a representative to confer with General Diaz, whoms he reached, after running .the gauntlet of a severe rifle fire until Diaz was able to control the troops. Diaz refused aft armistice. The Government forces combined in a fierce attack in the ho"pe of dislodging the rebels. A rain of bullets was maintained throughout the day. Several Americans were amongst those killed in the streets.' ' Automobiles under the white flag removed the women and children to the embassies out of danger. FEDERAL ATTACK, ON THE REBELS. SHELLS FALLING EVERYWHERE. (Rec. Feb. 14, 12.6 p.m.) MEXICO CITY, Feb. 13. The Federals, began the attack on the rebels at daylight. The artillery shelled numerous 'fine .buildings, which were to-' tally destroyed; , The shells fell everywhere, and ma,ny were killed.
