Iweryone—no matter how small or large a grower—must keep his trees free from pests. The law is emphatic, and the penalty for disobedience severe. Many neglectful growers have recently been liailed before the Magistrate and fined. You do not meet requirements by simply spraying—it must be effective. The only way is to use a reliable preparation, such as Sherwin-Williams New Process Arsenate of Lead. This special Arsenate is not acid, and is absoluetely harmless to the foliage and fruit; but positively deadly to insect life. It also lasts longer; because it is not water soluble, and does not wash off. Booklets on "How to Spray" can be had on application to Sharland and Co., Ltd., and the preparation can be bought from any reliable dealer.*
