HEMI MATENGA'S WILL.
VALIDITY UPHELD AND PROBATE GRANTED. (Special to "Mail."} WELLINGTON, This Day. At a sitting of the Native Land Court to-day, the adjourned application by tlio executors for probate of the will of Hemi Matenga was heard before Judge Gilfedder. MrH. D. Bell.. K.C.,-and Mr G. Fell appeared for the applicants. Mr Maginnity, of ' Nelson, appeared for the Natives of the Ngatikoliato tribe, and the Parata family were represented by Hira Parata. After a short argument the Court upheld the validity of the will, and granted probate. The .Tudge, in granting probate, stated that when tlio application for succession was made it would be open to the parties to object to the grant of the same upon sufficient grounds being shown. Bv tlio will of the late Hemi Matenga the Suter Art Gallery receives a bequest of £300; the General Synod the sum of £SO yearlv for a period of 20 years, to bo ai)plied towards the support of a minis teV of the Native race; and the New Zealand. Maori Mission Board the sum of £IOOO.
