WEDDING.

McFARLAND—CROSS. A large number of guests and friends ' were present at the Presbyterian Church, Nelson, on June 26th, where a quiet and pretty wedding was sblmehised between ; Robert Aaron McFarlarid, youngest son of Mr James McFarland, Aorangi, -Feild-. ing, arid Naomi Myra,eighth' daughter of the late Mr Philip D. fc>. Cross, Postmaster, The Port, Nelson. The Rev. J. H. MacKenzie officiated. The bride looked charming in a dress of cream silk voile, trimmed with silk insertion, and wore the Usual orthodox veil arid orange blossoms. She carried a shower :bouquet of asparagus fern and chrysanthemums, and wore a cable bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Maude Gross (chief) arid Miss Minnie Mansbn, both, being; tastefully attired in white, radianta, trimmed with white silk, and wearing black picture • hats, tiiimred with pink roses. They also wore gold brooches set with pearls and rubies, the gift' of the bridegrojn. The bride' was given away by her mother, while Mr Clarence Oliver Cross "acted in the capacity of best, man, and • Mr Percy Cross as groomsman. The Wedding March was played by Mr Mayson. The ceremony over, the guests retired to the Foresters' Hall, where a sumptuous repast was partaken of, and /the health of ,the nowly-married coupie, together with that of the bride's" mother, were • duly honoured.
