Alfred Sylvester, aged 21, attempted to assault a girl of 17 on Saturday near Biggenden. tie' sti'uck hei' oil the head with a bottle and pocket knife. Ihe girl stated that she crawled a quarter 61 a mile. She was found on Sunday morning in a critical condition. Sylvester was found ,iii' the yard of a hotel suffering from lysoi poisoning* and he died on Monday.
