A meeting of the chairmen of local bodies was held this morning to discuss the basis ot representation to the conference of local bodies to bo held next month, as set out in a circular issued by the Minister. It was decided to send a telegram protesting against all the local bdoTes in the area, coterminous with' the Waitaki Charitable Aid Board district *oeing represented by only ono delegate, and respectfully' requesting that at east two be allowed.
