NELSON CLUB. At r. meeting of th-e general committee of the Nelson Bowling Club it was decided to close tile green on 18th prox. There are still a number of matches to be plnyej in several competitions. At the same meeting a very hearty vote ot thanks was accorded to Afessrs Watt and (.'raw ford for thf-ir Easter services, and to the ladies who dispensed afternoon tea. It was reported that Mr. H. Saunders had offered to give a- cup for the next Easter tournament. A vote ot thanks was also tendered to Mr. J. Sharp, the president, who is about to leave Nelson. Last week's results are as follows: St nior Championship : Crawford -beat Kempthorne and Mansford : Moves beat Kempihorne ; Kenipthorne beat Tasker. This competition is in a very, interesting stage. Should Crawford beat Moves, tin- former will win the championship, but in the event of Moves winning there will be several ties.

Vice-president's pairs: Gould and Chit ten (s) beat Levien and Pauling (s). Lyell Cup : Cresswell beat Houlker : Hogg -beat Clulten and Condeil: Bond beat Crawford : Rutherford beat Menzies.

On Saturday afternoon an interesting World v. Colonial competition was played the hitter getting an easy win by 28 points. The players and scores were as follows (New Zealand names first): — Wolf. C.
