COLLINGWOOD. (Before Mr Evans, S.M.) The only case for hearing on Wednesday was Gillespie v. Watson (Mr Houiv ker). This was a, claim for £8 lis 2d, ■balance of wages alleged to bo owing. After plaintiff had told.his story he was cross-examined by Mr Houlker, who produced receipts" for all wages earned, including a final receipt. Plaintiff also had to admit that the statements of accounts rendered by him to defend.ant were incorrect, and did not agree. The Magistrate held that in view of the receipts produced and the confused nature of plaintiff's evidence the plaintiff must he nonsuited. No costs were allowed.
