DESPATCH BEARING CONTEST.
FROM ADELAIDE TO SYDNEY. (Punsa Association. —Ccpxrighi.} SYDNEY, April 8. The military despatch contest from Adelaide to Sydney between cyclists, motor cyclists, and motor cars, lias concluded. The cyclists received a 24 hours' start on the motor cyclists, and 30 hours on the cars. The cyclists arrived early this morning, after 70 A- hours. The ears wire expected four hours later, and the motor cyclists a couple of hours after the cars. " The cyclists averaged a speed of 16J miles an hour. The motor cyclists finished a record despatch ride. Tlic cyclists' correct time was 69 hours 32 minutes, the motor cyclists' 51 hours 50 minutes, and the cars 47 hours 46 minutes.
