THE AFTERNOON SHIFT. SYDNEY, March 11. All the big users of coal more or less prepared for a Newcastle strike, many, thousands of tons being stored at Sydney. It is rumoured that some of the colliery proprietors would welcome a stoppage in order to cancel unprofitable contracts.
