NELSON LICENSING COMMITTEE.

ELECTION TO-MORROW

The Licensing Committee elections will take place to-morrow. For the Nelson Committee ten candidates have been nominated. The whole of the old committee are seeking re-election, viz., Messrs H. Atmore, P. Best, N. A. McLaren, R. Watson, and T. Pettit. The new candidates are Messrs W. Lock, E. E. Trask, E. Grove, and J. Tayior. Messrs Grove, McLaren, Pettit, and Watson are the nominees of the No-license .League, and Messrs P. Best. W. N. Franklvn, and E. E. Trask are the Moderate "ticket." The polling places will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the franchise is the same as for the general election. The weekly half-holiday for the shops must be observed to-morrow instead of the usual day, and in factories reasonable time must be given employees to vote.
