NELSON DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIPS.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES. Subject to them fulfilling the required conditions, the following candidates will, • at the next meeting of the Education Board, be recommended- for scholarships by the Inspectors: I. Junior National Scholarships. Tenable for 3 yrs; value 01 scholarship £lO a year and free tuition, together with an allowance of £3O a year if the holder is obliged to live away from home to attend College or District High School. Two scholarships available, one being open only to candidates from schools naving an average attendance of 35 or under : 1. George I. McGregor, Westport District High School 611 2. Frank Hudson, Tapawera 470 11. Junior Board Scholarships.—Four Scholarships of £8 a year, together with £32 a year if holder is obliged to live away from home to attend a secondary school or district high school.
