INTENTION IN SPAIN.
GERMANY'S ACTION APPROVED. BRITISH INTERESTS AFFECTED. MADRID, Monday. The newspapers approve of Germany's action, as the logical outcome of what they describe as the Tunissifi cation of Morocco. They justify similarly the Spanish occupation of Alcazar. Germany's intervention is represented as being likely to hasten a fresh international solution. Meanwhile Spain remains neutral, inasmuch as A.gadir is outside the Spanish zone.'
Til© "Diario Universal," a semi-official newspaper, remarks that Germany's ac--tion is a great surprise. The occupation of Agadir is more prejudicial to Britain than any other nation, yet it does not imply the beginning of a series of conquests. Her action is legal, and confirms the (right and duty of Powers havings interests to defend to do so without leaving their protection to the mercy of the French. It adds that G-ea'many nevertheless does not ■constitute the only factor. Britain is another not less influential and' piowerful, and it
is doubtful if Britain would regard the matter in the same light as Spain. Critical days are approaching, an-d it is hoped all concerned will display wisdom aiiii calmness.
