THE TALISMAN COMPANY
DISPUTE WITH THE AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. (United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, iKonday. The dispute between <.he Auckland Stock Exchange and the Talisman Consolidated Company over the refusal of the latter to supply telegrams relating to the development of the mine to the Exchange unless the Exchange paid for the same still remains unsettled. Speak ing to a "Herald" reporter to day a prominent shareholder in the Talisman Company said he considered that the Stock Exchange had taken up a very mistaken attitude, and one that was hardlv fair to their clients. "The Exchange"," he proceeded, . "ought to ha.ve consulted, the interests of the shareholders before arrivin- at the drastic decision not to quote Talisman shares. This would, have saved the Exchange putting their own clients' into an awkward position. wily should the .Auckland Stock Exchange take up a. different attitude from the other exchanges in. the Dominion? From what I can near frcm shareholders and others whose opinions are entitled to some weight, the general consensus of opinion soems to be that the action of the Stock Exchange is wrong." Inhere were no sales recorded in Auckland to-day .in Talisman shares, but there were buyers at 49s and sellers at 49s 6d
