AMUSEMENTS

THEATRE ROYAL.

HAim®D 'S -PICTURES. There was a good attendance at the Theatre Royal last evbning to witness the second evening of Hayward's current- programme of pictures. Every item in the series received a full share of applause, and the great historical film of the life and martyrdom of Thomas a'Becket was alone well'-worth the price of admission. "The Woman Lawyer" is a brightly staged Western comedydrama. and the finale is most amusing. "The Actors' Fund Day" and "Musical Maniacs" are two of the cleverest pictures on the programme, and they should not'be missed' toy those who seek for novelty in the living picture form of entertainment. The orchestral -music i& most acceptable, and adds greatly to the pleasure of an evening at the Theatre. The series will be shown for 'the last time this evening. The usual AV'ednesday change will be made to-mor-row evening. and by special request the management is including the famous photo play of "Semii-amis," the beautiful warrior queen of Assyria, one of the finest pictures ever •produced by Pathe Fre-res. ° THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC. F ULLERS' PICTURES.' < . < There was an excellent attendance at the School of Music last evening, when Fullers' current programme was shown for the last tune, and the various items were deservedly applauded. A large number of Boy Scouts were present and greatly appreciated tlie Pathe Gazette, which included a big review of Boy Scouts by Lord Kitchener. . The eat war drama. "Lost in the Soudan," was the star film last evening, and it. is probably one of the finest war dramas ever exhibited.
