The Houlder line lias agred to the seamen's terms on al] the ships. Mi- G. R. Askwith, of tho Board of Trade, has left Hull. The negotiations wore broken off. though the seamen's representatives, -are .--coking to persuade the men to agree to amend their claims enabling the reopening aft the .negotiations. The seamen-, however, arc determined to support tho dockers' demands There was. a- fresh outbreak of fire on tho Arabic, and l also an outbreak on the steamer Canada The tug boatmen have struck, thus affecting the handling of 23 steamers, including the Lusi.ta.nia. They declared that they were not dissatisfied, but were intimidated by the strikers. Subsequently a settlement was reached with all the Liverpool firms engaged in the coasting trade, the agreement including the dockers. Tho leaders are convinced that the whole strike will bo settled to-morrow. It is officially announced that the Cunard, White Star .and'other combined lines, and also Harrison's, recognise the docker unionists, and will attend a conference within a month for the settlement of wages and conditions of labour. LATEST DEVELOPMENTS. UNLOADED CARGOES. SCARCITY OF BREAD STUFFS. RISE IN WHEAT AND FLOUR. THE POSITION AT HULL AND NEWCASTLE. (Received July 3. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday. There has been a fire on the Canada. About 150 vessels are idle at Hull. Thousands of strikers are parading the ..streets-, and hoMing meetings ito-day and collecting for. a relief fund. Many grocers are unable to supply flour on presentation of charity tickets by foodless people, hence the dockers decided not to interfere with *he. removal of foodstuffs from the warehouses to the shops. Sonio Hull boats have diverted to the Tyne to unload. The Tfcoyston Grange, with a partlydelivered cargo of frozen meat, has arrived at New-castle from -the Thames, with a non-union .crew ; but the dockers refuse to unload'her. The com market at Newcastle is almost 'Mocked with frozen mieat and wheat, which is held at nn advance from 3d to 6d. English wheat rose Is, and flour is scarce and getting dearer. Crews at Liverpool are rejoining the liners in anticipation of a settlement of the dockers' trouble there.
