FESTIVITIES IN LONDON. THE THEATRICAL GALA. A BRILLIANT SCENE. Fbkss Association.LONDON, Wednes. Those present- at the -gala performance at His Majesty's Theatre, included the Royal guests, Ambassadors, niemibere of the Cabinet, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, Sir Joseph and Lady Ward, and other colonials and' Indians. It was a, brilliant gathering, the Theatre being decora-ted with red roses in festoons amid their natural foliage. Mr. Forbes Robertson delivered Owen Seaman's prologue of welcome. Three hundred of the most- prominent actors and actresses played in scenes from "The Merry Wives of Windsor" and "Julius Caesar," in which 240 supers, all stars, participated. The performance concluded with Jonson's "Masque," and Madame Clara Butt'si singing of the National Anthem. Their Majesties had a- great (reception in the crowded streets. Th© London County Council gave a banquet to- the overseas Parliamentarians at the Hotel Cecil.
