CAPPiNG DAY. (United Press Associatiom.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The capping ceremony in connection with- Victoria College took pla.ee this afternoon, the degree* being conferred by Mr G. Hogbon, Inspector-General of Schools, in the absence of Sir Robert Stout, Chancellor of the New Zealand University Senate. Speeches were delivered by His Excellency the Governor. Lord .Islington, and Mr C. Wilson, chairman of the Victoria College Council, the latter making -an appeal for which is needed for tn-c work of the College.
