Th-e Bill Disestablishing the Roman Catholic religion abolishes tbe ta-xes paid for the maintenance of parish priests. Legacies for church services are forbidden.. A third of th-e present receipts of clerical societies will be applied to public charities. All religious services will be under tbo supervision of Sta.tc officials, and only Portuguese will be ordu-ined clergy and conduct services. Papal bulls may not be published without the 'Government's permission.
