SLY GROG. ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. NOXIOUS WEEDS. (United Pkes3 Association.) WAIHI, Wednesday. H. Sorrensen, at the Magistrate's Court to-dsy, was convicted of selling liquor without,a license in the Tauranga electorate, just over ihe border lino of the Ohinemuri district, and was fined £25 with costs; W. Turner, for illegally I dealing in liquor at Sorrensen's camp, was finocl 20s; Phillip Toms, for, ordering liquor without giving the person to whom the order was given a statement in writing of his namD'and* address, was fined 30s. -A. girl in service in a boarding house took a dose of lysol, and- in consequence is low in the liospltal in a precarious condition. The W?.ihi Gold Mining Company was fined in consequence of the existence on their mining resevves of a noxious weed to wit, blackberry.
