SERIOUS LOSS OF LLFE. GHASTLY SCENES. Press Association.—Copxkight. (Received Jan. 24, 9.5 a.m.) LOXDOx\, Monday. - A collision occurred between passenger and coal trains at Rhondda Valley, Wales. The carriages were telescoped, entrapping the passengers. Four bodies have already been recovered. "The collision took iplace near Pontypridd. A train* with 300 passengers over, took the coal train, and in the collision several carriages were wrecked. The front of. the .guard's van wae hurled "on top of the first of the telscoped carriages, "and the fireman of the passenger 'train was thrown on> to an embankment and so escaped nonhurt. Councillors Tom George, Tom Harris, and N. Morgan, members of the South Wales Miners* Executive, and the ReV. W. Powell, Methodist minister, are among those killed. Ghastly scenes were witnessed by the rescue parties. ;
