The Unionists in Lancashire polled 47 per 'cent., compared with. 43 per cent, at the January election; the Liberals 36J per cent. ; and Labour 16 per cent... compared with. 37 l-3rd per cent, and 19 per cent, respectively in January. Excluding- unopposed- returns, of wltich Unionists secured five, the Liberals . polled- 36,206 above the Opposition, and secured 44 seats against the Unionists' 23.
