YESTERDAY 'S PROCEEDIXG.S. (United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. live business of the Presbyterian vsscmbly of New Zealand was coniuded this afternoon. The Moderaor (the Rev. J. 11. MaeKenzie) pre,i(!ed. The report of the committee on ministerial tenure stated that almost all he Presbyteries and sessions had ii!i'( ed upon two points of grave imioriance. First, the abolishing of aadidating t)v restricting congregaior:s to the consideration of one same at a time. Second, requiring Ministers (except for reasons approved by their presbyteries) to stay at east five vears in their charges. To adopt these suggestions slight (Iterations are necessary to be made o three sections in tlie order book. On the motion of the Rev D. Me!\er it was resolved "That the aminied regulations be sent down to •lesbyteries under the Barrier Act." As th'e result of an overture from he Auckland Presbytery it was iji.reed that a standing committe be :et up to reecive unplicants for admis•on coining from the Church of "•colland. the Trisli Presbyterian "lurch, tho Free Church 1 of fieot:nd. or the English Presbyterian Lurch, and if their commissions be n order. the presbyteries be em - ■lowered fo receive them. At pre-•i-nt such' applicants have to await he sittings; of the Ascmbly. As an outcome of the committee's •".•ommendation-the Assembly resolvr? on the motion of the Rev. "VV. ,T.
