Day. The accountant Black was found guilty on charges of stealing three sum? of £3O each, the property of his late employers. Freeman Bros. The judge. in summing up. expressed his regret that the Freeman's reputation had been assailed without justification. He knew no evidence to show that they were other than honest men. He sentenced Black to five years' hard labour.
