ANOTHER FIRE. NOT POWELKA THIS TIME. [United Press Association.] PALMERSTON N., Monday. A ten-roomed house in Ruahine-street was totally destroyed by fire at 6.30 this morning. The house was owned and occupied by Mr Walker who was insured for £503 on the house and £2OO on the furniture in the South British Office, There is no idea how the outbreak originated. ♦ A BUTCHER'S STORE BROKEN INTO. PALMERSTON N., Saturday. Some butchers' premises at Longbuin were broken into last night, and quantity of meat was taken. The police were despatched this morning to mat inquiries.
