PLAYERS FINED AT WELLINGTON [United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Friday. To-day it was decided by Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., at the.Magistrate's Court, after hearing evidence in two cases that Thomas Henry Hughes, Alfrom George Sutton, and Francis Walton Williams had been participating in a game of "hazard." Each defendant was fined £2, with costs Bs, in default seven days' imprisonment. Constable Collery gave details of the arrest of the men, who were playing on the ferry Wharf, opposite the Sailors' Rest. The three defendants were participating, and Sutton had money in his hands. Further evidence was given to the effect that Hughes resisted considerably. A dice box and som& mpney, including a half sovereign, and a quantity of small coins were seized by the witness and his fellow officer* ,
