A lire broke out to-nighl in the premises in Ridgway-slreet, occupied by Dusting and known as the Strand Cafe, Limited The building was gutted and its contents were destroyed. Owing to .Mr. Dustin's absence from town the exact insurances are not available, but it is thought the stock was insured for £3OO in the London and Lancashire office, and the building was jjlsu insured for £3OO. The adjoining premises escaped injury, save that Mr. Gatfney, jeweller, had his stock injured by water.
