One of th e crew of the steamer Menimbah was drowned by 11 e upsetting of a boat while salving the passengers' luggage.
FOUND DEAD IN THE BUSH
NEW PLYMOUTH. Thurs.
The police received work from Moukau that the body of a young man named Adlara was found in a bush at Waikawa, several miles from Awakino. He had left Lovelock's camp to go io Awakino last Saturday. His body was found by a Maori on Wednesday ju-i off the track. There is no news yet as to how the fatality occurred Adlam came from Waitara.

RAMMED BY A TORPEDOER
STOKERS KILLED AND INJURED,

BERLIN, Thurs,
During night manoeuvres the German cruiser Muenchen was rammed by a torpedoer. Two stokers were killed and several were injured, the remainder of the crew being rescued before the torpedoer sank.
