PENNANT MATCH

The fifth pennant match of the season between the Nelson and Maitai Bowling Clubs, was. played on Saturday afternoon. Nelson won on four rinks out of the six engaged, and in the aggregate led their opponents by six points, thus retaining the,banner.- The, Nelson Club has prov/ed victorious in every pennant match played this season, though Saturday's was the hardest game of the five .played. Afternoon tea was provided on the Nelson green by Mrs J. D. Brown and 3ii the Maitai Green by Mrs J. E. Hounsell.

The next Pennant match is set down for Wednesday, April 20th. and the final one for Saturday, May 21st.

Novice Handicap: Morn's beat Wolff; Patterson beat Long and Floyd. EASTER TOURNAMENT. During Easter a tournament will be played on the Nelson and Maitai greens. in which a large number of visiting rinks will take part. So far it is expected that Thorndoji (Wellington) will send four rinks, Wellington Club two rink?. Piilon three, Blenheim three, and Takaka four. There'is also a probability that Palmerston North will be represented.
