The 'Australian cricketers arrived from Palmerston North this morning, and were met at the station by a goodly number, and driven to the Council Chamlbers, where they were formally welcomed by senior Councillor Lifliton, in the unavoidable absence of the Mayor, and Mr James Watt, President of the local Cricket Association.

Play starts at two o'clock in Cook's Gardens, where a good pitch has been prepared, ibut the outfield is very rough. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL. The final match in connection wii.'i the junior championship will be played at the Park to-morrow between the Kamura A and Wai-iti B, winners of the town and country sections respectively. The game will be played on No. 1 wicket, and play will 'start at 10 o'clock.
