Encounter, departed for New Zealand last night. A large gathering farewelled him. Lord Kithcener expressed gratification at t'he 'hospitality of the Australians. He (hoped his reconnni'cndations would be found acceptable and suitable, and that they would do sometiling towards tire improvement of the defences of Australia. Mr Dckin fails to see that Canada is doing more than Australia. T HE KITCHENER INSPECTION. NO NELSON SCHOOL CADETS. No school cadets from Nelson or the Wist Coast will take part in Hit; review to lie held at .Johnsnnville by Lord Kitchener. It was hoped that the cadets would be sent, but advice- lias been received that only public school cadets who can be sent by train will attend the review.
