GARRISON BAND 'VILLAGE FAIR.
All arrangements are now complete in collection with the Garrison Band Village Fair, in the Botanical Reserve, which will be opened on Monday afternoon, 28th inst., at 2.30, by Lieutenant-Colonel Joyco, 0.C.D., and continued during the week. Special programmes are being arranged for ea«n, evening, and with the various side shows, maypole dancing, music, etc., the public will find this a .pleasant place to spend an hour or two in the cool of the evening. There will also be booths for the disposal of useful articles, tea kiosk, and refreshments, of all descriptions. Admission will be by art union ticket, procurable from any member of the Sand:
The Christmas Tree, and entertainment under the management of tMo Congregational Ladies' Guild, on Tuesday, the 21st (to-morrow), promise to attract a good attendance. The tree will be laden with a large number of pretty and useful articles, suitable for Christmas gifts, for both young and old. A varied programme has baen arranged, and in addition to songs, recitations, and dialogues by . the children, Miss Rowe, Messrs P. R. Parker, and A. G-. Thompson will contribute violin, banjo, and vocal solos, respectively;
