The action of the Northern Bowling Association in 'altering the rules fer the champion fours tournament in face" of the fact that 22 clubs wrote opposing the proposal while only 16 favoured it. was very severely commented upon at the meeting of the Napier Club on Tuesday evening. Moreover, it. was point-! Ed out that the president of the association, Mr J. MoVay,- had been absolutely ignored, no notice having been sent to him of the meeting at which the alteration was made. If the new system is adhered to it means that future tournaments will be practically confined to the big centres. "
