HASTINGS, Friday. The Hawkes Bay Amateur Boxing championship tournament concluded, last night: The result, were:— Bantam semi-final: Fergusson (Waipawa), 7.4, beat Childs (Napier), 7.2. McCormack (Hastings), 8.4, beat Ellingham (Hastings), S. Final : McCormack beat Ferguson. Featherweight: Second round Steward (Petoue-, 8.12, beat Robert son (Gisborne), 8.12. Leppcv (Petone), 8.10, beat McLisky (Hastings), 8.13. Wiltshire, a bye. Semi-final: Steward beat Wiltshire (Hastings), .8.11. Lcpper, a bye. Final:: Lepper beat StewaTd. Light-weight semi-final: Tucker (Hastings), 10, beat Tancrcd (Po tone), 9.13; Tucker won on a foul. Robertson, a bye. Final: Oobcrtson (Gisborne), 8.12, bsii; Tucker. The- referee declared the vcs'iß al the end of the first round. Welter Weight final: Taucred (Pe toncl ICG 1 /., beat Morris (Napier), 30.7%. During his Sec round Mor ris' seconds threw in tho towel. Middle weight somi fi-ial: Butcher (Havelock). 11.2, beat .Ireland (Waipawn), 11.3%; R. Campbell (Puker'tiri), 11.3, beat Childs (Petone) 11. Final: Butcher v. Campbell.
