8.. D. MEAGHER REINSTATED. (Pbess Association.— Copibiq^t.) SYDNEY, Wednesday. . The Full Court, by a majority, granted JR. D. Meagher's application for reinstatement.on the roll of solicitors, the .acting-Chief Justice, Mr Justice Simpson, and Mr Justice Cohen, favouring the application, and Mr Justice Pring dissenting. ' Mr Justice Simpson, in delivering -judgment, said he considered that Meagher having carried out the undertakings he entered into when his application was before the Court in ltfOS the time had come when without any danger to the public or the profession, the applicant's name could be restored to the roll. . . The ground of Mr Justice Pring i dissent was Meagher's relations with VV. N. Willis, as revealed by the land scandals inquiry. Meagher was ordered.to pay the Law Institute's costs in opposing the application. [R. D. Meagher was struck off the rolls 14 .years ago for conspiring against i justice in tlie Dean murder ease.]
