WAKATU (5) V. THISTLE (0). At the Botanies yesterday the Wakatus, playing three members short, beat the Thistles by 5 goals to nil. The field of play was not hi a good' condition for thS match, and play was conse-; quently on the slow side. The goals for the winners w;re shot by Misses L. Langridge (2), Whitwoll (2), and E. Lungridgc (1). Mr Harford refered. By their win the Wakatns can claim the championship for the season, as even in the unlikely probability of a defeat in th:' remaining matches to bo played it cannot affect" the final issue for ths shield.
