A NEW MAGISTRATE.
[United Pkbs3 Association.] DUNEDTN, Tuesday. The "Star" announces that Mr A. Crooko, barrister aud solicitor of Lowrence, has been appointed a Stipendiary Magistrate. Mr Crooke, who retired from' active practice eighteen months ago, according to the "Star" has few equals in his knowledge of mining law.
