UNIVERSAL TRAINING.
THE OFFER ACCEPTED.
(Received 9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Wednesday. Mr Deakin, Federal Premier, an nnunced in the House that the Imperial Government had cabled a cordjial acceptance of the offer of a Dreadnought, or such alternative as may be suggested. He said he hoped in a few days to announce the precise form the gift would take, but the Cabinet had not yet determined the question of raising the necessary funds.
